Our Diploma programme gives you the complete skill set, confidence, and recognised qualification needed to build a successful career in this growing industry.

Professional Commercial Pet Groomer Diploma Course

This comprehensive course is designed for beginners who want to train to a full professional level.

You will learn all aspects of commercial pet dog grooming, including:

• Clipping and styling techniques

• Hand stripping

• Advanced hand scissoring

• Grooming techniques for all breeds and coat types

Throughout the programme, you will complete 20 hands-on practical lessons, grooming a wide range of breeds from start to finish.

You will learn:

• Head, body, feet, ear, and tail styling

• Everyday commercial pet grooming techniques

• How to adapt grooming methods to suit different coat types and breed requirements

To ensure high-quality training and individual attention, there are a maximum of 2 students in the salon at any one time.

You will also gain in-depth knowledge of:

• Grooming tools and equipment maintenance

• Safe handling techniques

• Health & safety procedures

• Animal welfare

• Pet First Aid & CPR

• Business and salon management

This Diploma provides everything an aspiring groomer needs to confidently start a career or open their own grooming business.

The Diploma is recognised as the industry-standard qualification for a fully qualified groomer.

Qualification

Ofqual Regulated OCNNI Level 3 Diploma in Commercial Dog Grooming, Animal Welfare & Salon Management

Includes:

• Pet CPR

• Pet First Aid

• Business & Salon Management

Course Structure

• 20 hands-on practical grooming lessons

• 50 hours online home study

Each lesson lasts approximately 3 hours.

During each session, you will groom one dog from start to finish, completing all associated training elements within that lesson.

There is also an option to groom two dogs in one day (one in the morning and one in the afternoon).

Class Times

Weekdays

• 9:00am – approx. 1:00pm

• 1:00pm – approx. 5:00pm

Saturdays & Sundays

• 9:00am – approx. 12:00pm

 

Flexible Learning

Courses run all year round, allowing you to start at a time that suits you.

 

Attendance is flexible — choose 1–5 days per week, with some weekend options available.

 

You have up to 12 months from registration to complete the course.
